A hall full of our people, all year round.
From Kutch and Saurashtra, by way of Nairobi, Kampala and London, Lohana families have been settling along the Fraser for four decades. This is where we gather — for garba, for seva, for the plain pleasure of eating together.
What we do
Four things, done properly.
We are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit society. Everything below is put on by members, for members, and paid for by membership dues, sponsors and donations.
Utsav
Navratri, Diwali, Janmashtami and Holi, celebrated the way our grandparents would recognise — with room for the way our kids want to celebrate too.
Seva
Food-bank drives, hospital fundraising and hands-on help for families going through a hard stretch. Quiet work, no announcements.
Vaarso
Gujarati and Kutchi classes for children, cooking sessions, and an oral-history project recording how our families got here.
Saath
Seniors' chai mornings, a youth committee, cricket in the summer, and a members' directory for finding a trusted tradesperson or a first job.
